Off Kilter (The Legend HZ + RE format)

Off Kilter is a set of 157 beautiful, strange, unique and texturally rich presets for The Legend HZ. Many of presets use MSEG functions in a complex way, creating dynamic movement and variation.

For some sounds, I chose to use the arp function to add even more texture and movement.
Instead of always making arp sounds when the arp function was active, I used very fast arp rates with very short percussive stabs or hits as the basis for the sustained sounds - this was mostly used in the lead and texture sounds. Still, the set does feature some sequenced sounds, with the arp function used as intended.

Though Off Kilter can be thought of as somewhat experimental, convention was not entirely abandoned, and most sounds are musical and predictable. Most heavily textured sounds still have a prominent, defined pitch even when baked in heavy texture (with some exceptions).

Virtually all of the presets have mod-wheel functionality, controlling things such as HPF, LPF, pitch, and so on. However, some of the presets feature mod-wheel functionality that drastically alters the sound, essentially creating a new preset (when pushed forward 100%).
A few of the presets are sounds that were used as building blocks for releases on the platforms Kontakt and Omnisphere, so you get some of the raw elements that were involved in those sets (Elixer The Lost Tapes, and Time Dilation).
